Salam semua.
Peace be upon you all. Recently I went to a number of places in the north of the Peninsular (Malaysia) for shooting of the documentary "Daula Melayu". Today I want to start sharing about some of the places visited...

Selasa 15 Mac 2016.
Tuesday 15th March 2016. After making some shots in Pulau Pinang we went off to Merbok, Kedah to enter the Muzium Arkeologi (Acheological Museum of) Lembah Bujang.

Lihat artikel lama Tinggalan arkeologi di Merbok (Archeological remains in Merbok)...
I have been here at least twice before. Look at the old article Tinggalan arkeologi di Merbok (Archeological remains in Merbok)...

It's just it was only this time that I really paid attention to what is available.

Pameran bersekitar penemuan-penemuan arkeologi di sekitar Lembah Bujang iaitu di selatan Gunung Jerai, gunung tertinggi di Kedah...
The exhibits revolved around archeological findings at Lembah (valley of) Bujang which is at the south of Gunung (mount of) Jerai, the highest mountain in Kedah...

Still there are findings from different areas in Kedah, among it are from the summit of Gunung Jerai.

I could see that most of the findings are from the 4th to the 5th century AD...

There are also those from later centuries but still more than 1,000 years old.

Among the most interesting ones to me is a piece of stone etched with the name Ibnu Sirdan.

It is said to have been written in the year 213 Hijrah (Muslim calender) which is equivalent to 829 AD. Before this I've only read about it in books...
