Dari Kerisek kami meninggalkan Patani lalu bergerak sekitar 80 km ke arah Songkhla untuk sampai ke makam seorang ulamak terkenal Melayu yang dikatakan mati syahid di sana.
From Kerisek we left Patani and moved around 80 km towards Songkhla to reach the tomb of a famous Malay religious master who is said to have died a martyr there.








Beliau adalah Sheikh Abdul Samad al-Falimbani. 
He is Sheikh Abdul Samad al-Falimbani. 



Dilahirkan di Palembang 1704 Masihi sebelum menuntut ilmu di merata tempat termasuk Mekah dan Madinah beliau menjadi salah seorang guru agama yang paling terbilang di Alam Melayu.
Born in Palembang in the year 1704 AD before acquiring knowledge in many places including at Mecca and Medina he became one of the most outstanding religious teacher in the Malay world.


Beliau dikatakan mati syahid di sekitar kawasan ini ketika membantu tentera Patani menghalang kemaraan tentera Siam/Thai sekitar tahun 1785 atau beberapa tahun kemudian. Tetapi ada yang mengatakan beliau tidak mati dalam perang.
He is said to have a passed away a martyr around this area while assisting Patani soldiers in blocking the advance of the Siam/Thai soldiers around the year 1785 or a number of years after. But there are those who say he did not die in war.


Apapun beliau tetap dikenang sebagai seorang ulamak besar Melayu yang alim ilmu Tasawuf, tahu juga ilmu persilatan dan perang.
Whatever he remains to be remembered as a major Malay religious master who is knowledgeable in Tasawuf (Islamic spiritual knowledge) also in silat (Malay martial arts) and war.


Kitab-kitab tulisan beliau seperti Hidayatus Salikin dan Siyarus Salikin terus menjadi rujukan para pelajar agama sampai ke hari ini.
Books written by him such as the Hidayatus Salikin and Siyarus Salikin continue to become reference for religious scholars till this day.
