Tok Guru Peramu appeared in Kuantan a few decades after Tok Bahaman was said to have passed away around the early 20th century. Although he never admitted himself as Tok Bahaman the stories which he shared on the fight against the British end of the 19th century also on the main figures who were also involved like Mat Kilau and Tok Gajah make many believe Tok Guru Peramu is Tok Bahaman. He did not die but concealed identity while travelling from place to place...
